My name is Amanda Dawn (Burke) Irvin. I became interested in family ancestry around 1995 when my uncle Don shared research with me that he has collected over the years. He began his research many years ago the old-fashioned way by going to libraries, sorting through census records, exploring cemeteries and talking to family members. Thankfully we still have him around to answer various questions and to share important information with us. Most of my research has been done by utilizing the internet with websites like ancestry.com. The information that I'm able to share, is information that I have collected from family members and from doing research online.
I decided to start this blog so I could share everything possible with my family and (hopefully someday) descendants. I have so enjoyed the little treasures I've found over the years such as photos, notes, videos and facts. Instead of packing it all away, I want my family to be able to enjoy those treasures also.
